Last night we went Trick-or-Treating in Caronport. One of the great things about living in a small community, is knowing the people whose home your at, even though your blocks away from your own. There's a real community atmosphere. We also had great weather; it was +7 yesterday.
Of course, the girls think Halloween is one of the greatest holidays there is. Who wouldn't? I go to your door, say trick or treat, and get candy. How can it get better than that!
This year we went as Dr. Seuss characters. Rebekah & Chloe were Thing 1 & Thing 2, Glynn, The Grinch, and I was the Cat in the Hat. It was great! Rebekah & Chloe's costumes were relatively easy. They wore red feet pajamas & blue wigs.
We have a tradition of having pizza for supper on Halloween. We were out the door by about 5:15. Most of the time the girls remembered to say Trick-or-Treat. However, there were times they were so enamoured with the candy bowl, they simply started to dig in. Fortunately, you can get away with that when your 5 & 3!
Both girls were real troopers. We walked most of the way, which, when you haven't had a nap, can be a long trek. Chloe was the first to be cold and tired. At about 7:30, we drove across the highway to Caron, to take the girls to see good friends of the family. By the time we got there, Chloe was asleep! Consequently, only Thing 2 made an appearance.
We finished Trick-or-Treating about 8:00. After a warm bath, and a good dose of candy, both girls went to bed.
