Birthday Girl!!!

On Wednesday, Chloe turned three!!  We had a family celebration for her Tuesday evening, complete with cake and presents.  This year Chloe had a Dora cake.  Dora's her favourite.  It had both candles and sparklers; the look of excitement on her face was priceless.

For gifts she received her very own Barbie's.  She loves dolls and Barbies, and occasionally, her older sister would be kind enough to let Chloe pilfer one that she wasn't using.  But now, Chloe has two of her own.  She also received books & a block puzzle.  One of her favourite gifts is the princess pajamas she received from Grandpa & Grandma. 

Saturday we spent lost in a corn maize!  It was a beautiful fall day.  The sky was bright blue with a few streaks of white cloud, which looked amazing juxtaposed next to the faded yellow corn stalks.  Basically, we wandered around lost for an hour, after which the girl's excitement for this adventure began to wain.  At one point, Glynn was carrying both of them.  Then we could hardly believe our luck!  The exit seemed near; however, it turned out that it was the entrance again. 

This weekend we're sticking close to home.  Rebekah & Chloe had swimming lessons this morning, and we spent the afternoon watching the Rider game.  Woo Hoo Riders!!  Fortunately, this is a long weekend for us, as it is next.  So we're planning to spend the next few days relaxing.
