Another rainy day...

We have had the worst weather this fall.  It has rained so much that it feels like April; unfortunately, the other night it dipped below freezing and killed all the delicate perennials.  So next weekend I'll have to dig up the bulbs and pack them away. This past weekend we spent taking all the vegetables out of the garden.  Consequently, we have big baskets of tomatoes, squash and pumpkins all over the place.  But at least the garden is empty and ready for next year.

Today there was no school, so we scheduled a dentist appointment for Rebekah, who loves going to the dentist. Last night when I told her we were going to the dentist this morning, she exclaimed, "Woo Hoo!!"  Since she has her first set of permanent molars, they like to seal them to prevent cavities.  It took about 20 minutes, and Rebekah was the perfect patient.

Afterwards, we went shopping for new clothes.  Rebekah and Chloe have both grown recently, and moved into the next size.  So I spent this afternoon, packing away summer clothes and those that fit no longer, and pulling out bigger and fall/winter clothes.  Tonight I'll have to get Glynn to bring in the mitts and winter wear so I can sort through it and figure out what we need.

We will be celebrating Chloe's birthday a day early this year.  I am taking a group of students to a Student Leadership retreat at Dallas Valley from the 22nd-24th.  Consequently, I will not be here for most of Chloe's birthday.  So we've decided that we will have Chloe's big Birthday celebration, complete with decorations, cake and presents tomorrow.  Glynn and the girls will also have cake and one present on Chloe's real birthday.
