August already...

It's hard to believe it's been over two weeks since I last posted.  We've stuck close to home the past couple weeks.  One weekend we went to Moose Jaw to see the owls at the Burrowing Owl Center, and then we spent the rest of the morning playing at one of the parks.

This past Sunday we went to Regina to see Cirque du Soleil.  It was absolutely breathtaking!  Rebekah was so amazed that she couldn't even reply when you asked her questions.  Rebekah's favourite part was the trapeze act.  We were fortunate enough to be in the fifth row from the stage, so it was a truly amazing experience.

We have had beautiful weather this summer, with very little rain.  Most of the dramatic weather that has plagued the prairies this summer has not hit our area.

Most weeks we visit the library in Moose Jaw to pick up  new books and videos. When it's hot in the afternoon, the girl's enjoy staying inside to read or watch a video. They are especially fond of the Berenstain bears.

We tend to spend most of our time outside, either playing at the park, in the kid's pool, or they love their swing set.  And I get to garden.  It's almost a full-time job keeping everything watered and the pests off my plants!

We also try to hit the splash park in Moose Jaw at least once a week.  We've had great weather, and the girls love playing in the mermaid pool and making new friends.  Last week we remembered to take bread to feed the ducks.  When Bek's was little, she and Glynn, would go feed the ducks several times a week.
